Additional Admin Process ???
Hello Guyz,
I had my interview on 7th Feb 2011 in mumbai and given yellow 221 g.
My barcode got updated in last week and accordingly i submitted my passport and require docs. Yesterday I got Passport but there is no stamp on it but having one more yellow letter having stamp date as 7th Aptil. Any one knows what is this case ???? I submitted my passport again today with require docs such as I797,new yellow letter and April pdf printout.
Help on this is apreciated.

Hi Guys,
Finally got the Visa after approx 80 days of waiting period
Consulate: Mumbai
Interview: 18th Jan 2011 (Yellow 221g form, no docs asked)
Number updated in PDF: 5th April 2011
Passport submitted: 6th April 2011
Passport received: 11th April 2011
Please have patience and keep on praying, we all will get the visa sooner or later.

Its look like they are doing more additional process , I and few other on this forum have had same case as urs, where after getting name in list passport came back without stamp and with a pending letter. As per what they told me only option is to wait for this process to complete and look out your case num in new lists

Today's list is out, there are 40 updates but nothing in it for meComment

the list came out around 3:30 pm, i was hoping it would contain a lot more updates. Also the consulate is off next Friday there aren't going to be too many updates next weekComment

RKS is right they are doing additional processing on our cases (my case H4 visa pending since dec 28 2010)
I talked to one of the forums basically they do additional processing if after the process they get again a name hit or something
RKS I wonder if u have a muslim name like us
because a second 221g has been mostly for cases of muslim names
my case is mostly because we stayed in KSA for a couple of years
and have a last name as Khan in our passports
i hope that this processing is not as earlier because last time it took 90 days
for them to send the first mail
One good thing as i see with analysis given below is this
Total cases processed
January 94
February 377
March 456
April 235(so far)
definitely we see a great momentum on resolving on these cases
also for april i see a lot of old cases cleared AA00' ones
inshallah we will have this uncertainity ending soon
Just wondering if Syed Aezaz's case (like us) has been cleared or not
i think he submitted his PP third time after he got 221g twiceComment

hi guys ..jst wanted to update my status. I got my approved visa last friday and flew back yesterday......POE everything was fine ...no questions as such. Hope you all will get your visa soon. listed below are my details..
Visa Interview : Dec 9 2010 at Mumbai. Got 221 g yellow slip with no docs asked
Contacted consulate through congressman on feb 14 and got a standard reply saying its under administrative processing.
Again contacted consulate through attorney on March 18th and he also got the standard reply.
CEAC barcode number updated in pdf on April 1st. But eventhough it got updated on april 1st my number appeared in the March list.
After submitting my passport I kept on calling DOS everyday asking the status. After 2 days of submitting my passport I heard the golden words visa issued.THe other 2 days they were saying under administrative processing.
THey couried the passport next day (April 7th) and on April 8th got my passport with visa stamped and annotation clearance received on MArch 30th and visa issued on 6th April.
I will be checking this forum and if anyone has any questions about my case I can provide you with the same.

@dec9221g Congrats!!! This is great news - did you also receive an email from the consulate asking you to submit your passport or did your CEAC # just appear in the case status file on the 1st of April?

my number appeared in the ceac list...i didnot receive any email. But as i told eventhough updated on April 1st my number appeared in the march list. So make sure you check all the pdf list not just the current monthComment

@yuvi2011: it is very difficult to say how long it will take if you are flagged for admin processing, it is anything between a few weeks to months ( it has been almost 4.5 months for me)Comment

221g Blue issued twice
hi guys,
My details are as below
Interview Date - 29th March, Location - Chennai
Issued 221g Blue notice asking additional documents including marklists,degree certificate, client agreement, client letter , petition, approval , ceac confirmation and passport
Docs submitted via VFS - 5th April
Got mail from VFS to collect passport - 11th April
Got passport in hand -14th April with a blue notice saying additional administrative processing.
Only got passport and the notice.
what about the original marklists and certificate - when can i expect it back ?
Also the case number marked is not updated in the list till now in the chennai consulate site - is there any other list for checking the status other than that provided in the consulate site ?
Pls provide info if anybody have similar experience.Comment
