my number appeared in the ceac list...i didnot receive any email. But as i told eventhough updated on April 1st my number appeared in the march list. So make sure you check all the pdf list not just the current month

Hi RKS,dec2010221g,

how can we come to know our case has been resolved. Because my barcode is still there in the list. Is there any one you know who got 2nd time 221g and issue the VISA.

RKS is right they are doing additional processing on our cases (my case H4 visa pending since dec 28 2010)

I talked to one of the forums basically they do additional processing if after the process they get again a name hit or something

RKS I wonder if u have a muslim name like us

because a second 221g has been mostly for cases of muslim names

my case is mostly because we stayed in KSA for a couple of years

and have a last name as Khan in our passports

i hope that this processing is not as earlier because last time it took 90 days
for them to send the first mail

One good thing as i see with analysis given below is this
Total cases processed
January 94
February 377
March 456
April 235(so far)

definitely we see a great momentum on resolving on these cases
also for april i see a lot of old cases cleared AA00' ones

inshallah we will have this uncertainity ending soon

Just wondering if Syed Aezaz's case (like us) has been cleared or not

i think he submitted his PP third time after he got 221g twice

@7Feb2011 Our barcode number should appear in the list once processing is done that what I have been told, mine number first number first appeared in march , but as urs is in this same month , i am nto sure how reeapear would wrk, u should trying checking status with vfs and dos once or twice week for this month , from next month a new list would be put up where you can watch out

@dec2010221g - Yes mine looks like it has been pending due to common muslim name check, do you know someone else who got cleared after 2nd 221g and how much time it took for them after getting second 221g?

221(g) Green slip from Chennai consulate

I recently appeared for H1-B stamping at Chennai US consulate.

I got 221(g) green slip from consulate(with no case number or batch id is marked) for providing some of additional documents at VFS drop box.

The contents are same as that of blue slip. Could you please tell what does 221(g) green slip means in the case of Chennai consulate ?

Can I check the status online?

But in that link, its not specifying about green slip from chennai consulate!!!. In my case, the content is same as that of blue slip. What does it mean?

Has anyone tried calling the DOS number before? Do they have anything different to say apart from the standing 'Administrative Processing' bit?

calling the DoS visa division is usually pointless - have called 5-6 times and the answer is the same - no time line; administrative processing, they dont have any more information.

Yea teh DOS ppl actaully dnt have any information....i have talked to couple of guys and they were so nice and told me that they know it is so frustrating and wat they can see is its under administrative processing ..and the latest update on ur case is that replied to the enquiry by congresman........also next update on the system wil be visa issued..no other updates will be given by DOS...visa issued update comes after you submit passport and they the visa is stamped......

I was going through the earlier posts, someone had posted that when they called DoS, they were able to get the information that their case was back with the consulate in India. Was that you, dec9221g?

even I have not been able to get any information from DOS on my processing besides 'its pending' . I know some people did mention they called DOS regularly but I dont think now that any effect on our cases as nothin seems to be in the handle of the helpline guys

Yea - the DoS and the Consulate seem equally helpless in knowing where your case sits and how far down processing it might be.

In either case - any chance of the Consulate releasing another list today given that tomorrow is a holiday?

I doubt if the list will be updated today, but no harm in checking it at the end of the day
