221(g) yellow form during H1B Visa stamping

The latest case report is available on mumbai consulate website now.

2 case numbers appeared with AA0024 sequence recently (I am interested because mine is AA002463--)
AA0024CQ8X - on July 18th
AA0024PDQT - on July 20th

Now whats interesting is these 2 case numbers have already appeared before as below ..
AA0024CQ8X - on April 17th and
AA0024PDQT - on May 25th

Anyone with any idea why is it so? can these be the cases of multiple yellow forms?

Not sure....but you might be true that these cases were of multiple Yellow forms...whoever it was...the time between first and second yellow form seems to be pretty short...
On a funny note...it shows that you are spending loads of time reviewing each and every code that's published in the list...hope you don't end up finding an Einsteinic way of calculating the probability of admin processing completion dates

There is a new link available on Mumbai consulate website where we can give in our case number and check the applicaiton status.

Please check yours and let everyone know so we can try to have an ideaon what different statuses are available and what does it mean (depending upon current situation of your case) ?

It looks like a common link where you can check your application status after selecting your particular consulate where you were interviewed.

I pulled out a few CEAC bar codes from the daily CSR report and checked the status for them...they all show the same status Administrative Processing...

However, the interesting part is the RESPONSE DATE. Each case has a different Response date...
For my case, the last response updated was on 20-Jul-2012. So I can assume for now that they are atleast keeping a track of whats going on.

Once the Case is cleared / approved, status is going to be - "Issued".

Anyone with different thoughts or experience, please feel free to add to it.

We have not seen many responses, humble request to everyone, please participate.

HI, Checked my case status on DOS website and it shows "Refused" Dated 20th July..2012..............But when checked with VFS they say its under process ........Confusing.....

BTW we had our first interview on 1st Dec 2011, Visa Denied under 221g, case sent back to USCIS, then petition got reaffirmed , appeared for second interview in March 2012, additional docs asked , submitted in April............and since then waiting....... When i check the status on DOS site it shows case date as 1st Dec...hope the site is showing " refused " status for the interview on 1st Dec ........any comments .....finger crossed

I am not an expert, but as far as I read other forum posts, it seems 221g blue candidates from Mumbai consulate will see their case status as "Refused" (if the case is pending).

More over you have already checked with VFS also, so you know thats its under process for sure.

Finally!!

After waiting for 8 months, finally my case got resolved.

Here are few details:

Visa interview: 7th Dec, 2011
No docs asked.
Handed over 221g yellow.

June 12th: Received email with green form attachment asking for CV, employment letter etc.

After submitting documents, finally received visa on 17th July. Received passports in hand on 20th July.
Left for US on 23rd.

Finally back to normal work life.

It was good to have support from this forum. I wish you all the best and just keep patience and your cases will get resolved too.

After waiting for 8 months, finally my case got resolved.

Here are few details:

Visa interview: 7th Dec, 2011
No docs asked.
Handed over 221g yellow.

June 12th: Received email with green form attachment asking for CV, employment letter etc.

After submitting documents, finally received visa on 17th July. Received passports in hand on 20th July.
Left for US on 23rd.

I received the email from Mumbai NIV (on 07/24/2012) about completion of Admin Processing
and to submit the required docs at VFS.
(1. Yellow pending letter 2. Passport 3. Print out of the e-mail)

Documents were submitted to VFS Mumbai on 07/25/2012.

Immigration department of my employer received my passport on 07/30/2012.

It was a long painful wait of approx 4 Months and 3 weeks !! Happy that it ended with a positive note.

Just curious...Did your case number not appear in the CSR and instead you recieved an email?
I thought they did away with emails and started displaying the list on the website. So, going forward...we need to check our emails too...
