  • Hello All,
I wanted to provide an update on my case. I have received my passport with the visa stamp today via courier. My case details are below:

    Visa Interview: 8th Dec 2010

Received Email from Consulate: 29th April 2011

    Submitted passport the same day

Received passport with stamp: 5th May 2011

I don't see any security clearance stamp in the passport.

I had no communication from the consulate before last week.

Best of luck to everybody who is waiting to hear from the consulate.

              • @rks123 - yes; this article and the newsweek author is a regular on the 221g ******** group - you should join it if you haven't already. Search for the largest (over 1000 members) 221g group on FB.
On the flip side - read some of the painful comments of somewhat ignorant folks at the bottom of this article which went on for days/weeks.

                  Hi RKS,dec2010221g,

Is there any update on your cases??? If I resign from my current company then would it affect to my next turn from other company.

                  Regards

                  • no update - but if you resign and apply through another employer; chances are that you will be chosen for administrative processing again. (have seen cases where folks applying for B1/B2 have been chosen for administrative processing as well)

                        • My wife and my passport were submitted today - am hoping we receive our passports soon. On calling DoS on Friday - they said that both my wife and I haven't cleared admin processing. They weren't sure why I have been asked to submit my passport.

My first name could be construed Muslim even though my last name is Khanna and I am not muslim.

                          • Pending At Embassy ??

@221g_yellow_6Dec -- Congratulations!! , I hope that DOS guy was just following standard procedure of keeping everyone confused and you will get your stamped PP back soon.

I have a question to the peeps here , I called the DOS right now and was told case is pending, when I asked is it pending at the embassy he replied thats correct. What does it means? is the admin review now complete ??

                            • @Chennai29Mar - that is their usual response; I have heard them say that it is stuck at the Consulate (that you physical application never moves from the Indian consulate) to 'agencies' are still investigating. It doesn't mean anything - the only thing you can do is wait.

Additionally - I had my attorney contact the dept of State, as well as had my Senator write to them when I had completed the 4 month mark. Not sure of either of them helped... but it is worth a shot.
