  • Job Switch on H1-B

I am currently working as Software Engineer and my H1-B got picked. My case has still not been approved yet, but I expect it to happen late July. However, I have another offer from a different company with similar compensation but I wanted to know if I can still switch considering my H1-B approval hasn’t come yet, and my H1-B status will be active from October.

I wanted to really switch because I feel burned out . Can someone guide me what are the possible options?

Hi guys, graduated in June, 2021 from Anna university. Worked for a consultant in Banglore for a year and half. Came to USA a few months ago on a 5 year L1 visa. What I see is F1 visa students struggling to get H1b visa which is for only 3 years. I do not know why one would study here and go through all the struggle. I was told that when I change projects, all it changes is my consulting manager/site and does not need to reapply for L1 visa like H1b visa amendments. My consulting employer will file for GC after three years and will renew for another L1 after 5 years, just have to stay out 1 year but my GC application will continute. No delay in getting driving license etc. too. Why would one go for H1b visa when you have so many benefits with L1, what am I missing? 11 out of 30 consultants are on L1 visa now. L1s are so relaxed versus H1bs are always tensed, not sure, why..
