Own a multifamily property with 3 other partners on an equal ownership/investment.
One partner is US citizen and 3 of us are on h1b. We are not working partners. If we are silent partners in an LLC, can we all get a same share of profit? We are equal partners in terms of investment contribution and the main partner will be ok to split the profit equally.
If that is not doable, is it ok if we keep the property as is on 4 of our names as partners? We are trying to understand the process so we can ask the right questions to the attorney.
