Need info on Green Card sponsor

Hello!

I recently came to US on a H1B (October 2010). I have my own brother in the US since 1999 and who is a citizen. I have 2 options for filing for my green card...

1) My current employer (employment based 2 category)
2) My brother

Which one would you suggest as the faster & less scrutiny' way of getting my green card. Your help is highly appreciated as both have agreed to file my GC.

Scrutiny for Family Based GC is less compare to the Employer Based GC. Family based GC will take more than 10 years. Employer based GC will take 1/2 that time (approximately).
