Looking for some advice on a situation that is raising red flags for me. Context: I am a Canadian citizen.
I have a prospective employer in the US that is currently in the midst of petitioning for an H-1B visa for me. This employer is proposing that I come visit for a meet-and-greet with staff prior to the start of my employment. I am fearing that I could have problems entering if CBP can see that I have a pending petition, they may think I'm attempting to enter the US in an unlawful manner https://xender.vip/. Obviously, I do not want something like this to jeopardize my H1-B petition. I have requested that my employer seek legal advice before I agree to making the trip. Am I worried for no reason, or are my concerns valid?
