Please help urgent H4 Application

Hello,

My fiance is a H1B holder and we are planing to get married in end of April. I am wondering whether I need my marriage certificate and other documents during the visa application or is it alright if I carry the necessary documents during the interview ? Also, during the application do I need to mention that I am married / single if I am making the H4 application before marriage ? Any help on this will be really appreciated. Also, if anyone can explain in brief the entire procedure it will be very helpful.
