Work from home for my current Indian company when in USA on H4

Hi

Can you guys please guide me.
I am currently working in India, Bangalore for a UK based software company.
My husband has been to US on his H1B visa.
I would like to know if its possible\legal to work from home from US for my company when i am on H4?
The salary would still be credited to my Indian account.
As we are planning to stay back in US only for a short period - 1 yr or so, i dont want to leave the opportunity here and sit idle at home when on H4 and when we come back again dont want to look for some other opportunity.

Technically as per H4 regulations you are not supposed to work when you are on H4 status even though you work for an Indian company and get paid in India. H4 is a dependent visa and dependents cannot work while on H4 status.
