I do not have a Marriage Certificate...any other doc that will do for H4?

Hi,
I am in US with a H1 visa and would like my wife to join me here. For H4 application one of the documents required is the Marriage Certificate, which I do not have. Please tell me if there is any other document that can be furnished which would suffice.
My wife's passport will have my name on it. I have my marriage's invitation card and as many photographs as they may want.

as per my knowledge, marriage certificate is MUST
