H4 visa query answer - new appointment to personally attend

I am working in USA on H1B and my wife and 1 year baby resides in India.

My wife got H4 stamping on Oct 22,2010. My daughter attended for h4 stamping separately on 22 Nov,2010 and given 221(g).

If i answer the query through VFS service it may take 4-12 week time. I want to answer the query personally by taking new HDFC receipt and new appointment, because my wife plans to travel to USA on Jan 2011.

Please suggest me that can I take a new appointment and answer the query for daughter.
