Hey guys unfortunately I got laid off yesterday. I'm currently on STEM opt but I got picked up in the 2nd round of the h1b lottery and my h1b was filed for around the end of August 2023. How does this layoff affect my h1b application? Will it not get processed since I no longer work for the same company? I have to talk to HR next week to sign https://9apps.ooo/ some termination contracts and I wanted to ask them to not pull my application because they have paid for the processing a month ago and I was hoping I could transfer it to another company if/when I get another job. Is that thinking correct?
