My company lawyer just put in my h1b petition a couple of weeks ago. I need to travel to my home country in March next year. I am currently doing a change of status from F1 to H1B. They did not do premium processing. Lawyer said this is ample time and doesn’t foresee any issues with me going.
How long does it take to get a receipt from putting in the h1b petition? I need that for my DS-160 application?
