I am also waiting for my H1b Visa to be stamped.
H1b :Interview Date:16th Aug,2011,Chennai
Status:Administartive Processing Pink Slip.
Almost Two and a half months passed,Still Clueless about my status.

PS:If RECENTLY anyone whose H1b has been Issued after Pink slip Processing,Pls MENTION.
Also,Is it Wise to contact Chennai Consulate before 12 week,as mentioned in the Pink slip.

I was 1st Interviewed by a Lady Officer--After asking some basic H1b Interview questions and viewing my Docs she said Everything is Ok Here,Only Some administrative processing has to be done.
In the 2nd Interview another Officer asked me about my previous travels to any other country if any..

then she took my passport and said it will take around 4 to 8 weeks .

Vo told me my visa is approved and given me pink slip without any case number then indian guy at counter 31 ask me abt countries visited.then he gave me pink slip with case number.

Are u applying for extension or first time?Does ur name contains "Mohammed" or any other common muslim name.Which countries u visited.?Desi employer or direct employer in usa?

Mine is for first time,N yes My name has a common Muslim Name and I am going through an Indain MNC.

Can I contact the consulate before the expiry of 12 weeks?

Does anyone having an Idea on time taken by Consulate for candidates going through Bussiness Executive program(BEP)?

yes i also have common muslim name...Indian MNC with BEP.

You can contact them but mostly u ll get standard reply "Pending Process".

When we check our case status report online..we see lot of people getting it ISSUED.
Request yo all to update your Experience here..

Also apart from calling and mailing Chennai Consulate is there any other apt way to find about my status and passport.

I had interview on May 12th in chennai for my H1 renewel and issued a pink slip. VO was a lady and said my case looks genuine but need some admin processing. At another counter (number 31 i think) indian vo asked about my first employment (biomedical engineer but works in IT). He said about 8 - 12 weeks to complete the process. But it took around 18 weeks for me to get visa issued. I dont have muslim name.

Hi All,
Today I got an email from VFSHELPLINE saying that your Passport is ready to Collect or it may be sent by Courier to you in 24 to 48 hrs .
I am happy I am Getting my passport but I am not sure wether VISA has been Issued to me or not.
I also checked my pink slip status online and it still says "Pending Process".
Pls suggest

I got my Visa Stamped...finally the wait is over..exactly after 3 Months got my passport

Dreaded 221g Pink slip

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and found out some valuable information regarding the dreaded 221g processing. my interview was on 25th nov and I was told to go to a counter where the lady gave me the pink slip and asked to submit the documents in word format. I contacted my company lawyer who then sent the documents on my behalf (took about 2 weeks for them after some back and forth with the us embassy here in delhi). The documents they asked were about my research and i am not even doing any research in my current job. Now I'm just waiting and hoping to see if my case gets resolved soon. Also, the website provided on the Pink slip is wrong. I am checking my status at http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/outreach/aoadb.html. Is everyone else who was interviewed at delhi also checking their status at this website itself?
I agree with some comments before that the embassy needs to tell us why they have put our case under further processing.
