H1 transfer got approved but wrong from date in i 797

Here is the case :

My H1 got expired on 16 Sep 2010
but I filed for my H1 transfer on 5 Aug 2010 & I joined new employer on receipt number itself.
now my H1 got approved but on I 797, date came as Valid from 6 Dec 2010 to July 2013


earlier H1 got expired on 09/16/2010
filed for H1 transfer on 08/5/2010
got New H1 is Valid from 6 Dec 2010 to July 2013

Now I am planning to go india for a vacation, what should i do for above case as I need to for H1 stamping.

There is nothing much you could do. Technically your stay in U.S is illegal between 09/17/2010 to 12/05/2010. Maybe your employer who filed the transfer requested a start date as of Dec 6th. If not, ask your company attorney to check with USCIS to see why it was approved from Dec 6th.
