I'm on my last year of OPT and was just lost the lottery (sending condolences to others like me). But because my work is 100% remote, my company is not laying me off, instead they offer a solution to turn me into an off-shore employee and I can work from my home country. Sounds pretty good but my goal is still to make a living in the US of A, so I intend to take this deal and ask them to keep entering my into future lotteries. I just wanna confirm with everyone here that this plan is technically feasible, that it is possible to get H-1B from being an off-shore employee? H1-B isn't only for people with F-1 and unexpired EAD, right? When filing for the lottery they asked for all these documents router login so I'm paranoid if this H1B visa is only for people coming from OPT status, please tell me that's not the case. Good day to yall and appreciate anyone's advice!
