Can I Work with H4 EAD While H4 Change of Status is Pending

Hi everyone,

I had an H1B visa valid until February 2024. I currently hold a valid H4 EAD from an earlier application, which expires in August 2025. I reapplied for a change of status to H4 this February, and it is still pending approval.

My question is: While my H4 change of status is pending, can I join a new company and start working using my existing H4 EAD?
