Just got laid off - what are my options

Employment will end after my maternity effective Feb 15. Currently PERM is pending and likely to be approved within the next month or two. H-1B extension beyond 6 years has been approved with AC21.

Can my current company file I-140 in January? Do I need to wait till PERM approval to switch company ?

What are my options? Very stressed with a newborn at home
