Case of H1B transfer

I am working for company A who had initially filed a PART-TIME H1B beginning 1st Oct 2010. In December they filed an amendment for FULL-TIME H1B. Now I have a new job offer from company B. Is is safe to change my employer while my earlier amendment petition is still pending? If so, would my new employer have to file a new H1 or can a H1 transfer be done? As of today, I am working on part time H1 status.

They can do a transfer (in essense is still a new petition) and request full time hours on it.
