L1 to H1 COS effect start dates

Hi

When filing L1 to H1 COS can we specify the effective employment start dates? I would like to know whether can we give a date 1 month later from the day a premium petition is filed ? This way I will hopefully get 1-2 weeks notice period if it approves. (I agree no one can predict whether it will approve)

Yes. The employer can request a start date until 6 months in the future.
