Is Stamping for 7th Year Extension Reqd?

I am in US and got my 7th year H1-B extension approved.

1. Do I need to leave the county and get the visa stamped on my passport before my 6th year expires? If Yes, Can I get it done from Canada or do I need to go to India for it?

Or

2. Can I wait till I leave the country next time?

You don't have to. You can wait until you leave country and want to enter back in.
