H1b - 2011

Hi,

Currently i am on L1B visa in USA from company A and my L1B visa will expire in 2013.

Company B is ready to sponsor my H1B visa on 1st April,2011.

Just wanted to know what will be the processing time for H1B. When i will have my approved H1B petition if H1B is applied in April 2011 and from what date i can start working.

Normal processing time is 2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium. If the H1B is filed as a COS from L1, then upon approval (If approval comes with a new I-94), you can start working for the H1B employer from Oct 1st (assuming this is a fresh H1B on a new CAP).
