HI all,

I have applied for my H1B extension and just received my receipt number. My I97 expired on Feb 14 already. Unfortunately my driver license also expired and I can not renew it because of extension. I have to do an urgent domestic(within USA) travel this weekend and my only piece of ID is passport.

Will it be a problem to travel as visa on passport has expired?

Valid visa is not required for travel within U.S. Passport is enough. Keep the copy of the H1B extension receipt with you to prove that you are not staying illegally in the country (Just in case).
