H-1 renewal at Tijuana

Hi there,
I want to know if anybody went to Tijuana for H-1 renewal recently(after Jan 10). When did you apply for ASC? Can ASC be done in US? If you did ASC in Mexico, did you stay in Mexico for a day or two. Where did you stay? How long did the entire process take. Did you get your visa on the day of attending the consulate.

And the uscis website says that not everybody needs to attend the consulate for renewal. Did anybody not have to do that?

I know it is a lot to ask, but since this is a new process and not any of my friends have done this, I had to ask many questions.

I am in the same situation..Scheduled ASC on 22nd March & Consuler Interview on 24th.

Yes. I noticed that we may not need to attend the consular interview. But no information provided.

Please let me know your findings...I will also update here when I find some info..
