H1 extension!!! Spouse has H4 stamp, never landed in US.

Hi,
My H1 is expiring soon and my company is filing for its extension for the next 3 yrs. My Wife has got her H4 visa but has not yet landed in US. The extension process would have been initiated by the time she gets here. Do i need to file for an H4 extension for her alongside?

H4 extension can be file only when her I-94 is about to expire. Extension of status can be filed 6 months before the I-94 expiry date. If waits until your H1B extension gets through, then she can get an extended I-94 at the POE by showing your renewed petition. If she tarvels before your H1B extension, then she will get the I-94 only till the current petition expiry date and you will need to file her extension.
