Hi All,
I have an approved H1-B extension which is expiring in Oct 2011. Its current status is very peculiar. Its goes like this:
I hold H1 from a IT consultancy. I worked in US for 3 years, filed for extension and travelled back to India in 2009 when it was approved. But when i returned to India i forgot to get it stamped again. Now the client for which i hold H1 for is not with my consultancy anymore.
So my question is,
1. Is it mandatory to file for an amendment with the new client, get it approved, go for stamping and then travel ?
2. Or is it enough to go directly for stamping, take a transfer memorandum for the new client and then travel ?
Could someone suggest how to go about with this?
Thank you.
