Converting H4 to Student Visa

Dear Sir/Madam,

I m currently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana along with my husband under H4 VISA which does not permit to work. I gather that i m eligible for Part Time/Full Time studies under this VISA Status , but not eligible for paid internships or an work for that matter .

a) Is it possible for me to convert my H4 into Student VISA ? If yes , wil I be able to work under student VISA ? What would be the cost i need to pay for converting into student VISA?

b) Am i eligible to get EAD ? As we r to apply to for green card in few days , would i get any EAD No. , which permits me to work before i receive green card ?

I would be really greatful if you could advise me on the above , as which ould be wiser for me , either converting to Student VISA or Green card .

1. You can convert into Student Visa. Limited work options are available while on student visa. Student visa is for studying.
