When does my H1 expire

Hello all,

I need some clarification on the H1B rules.

I landed in USA oin nov 2005. I have a valid approved I-140 from my employer.
In 2009 I renewed my visa and got a I-94 which was valid till nov 2012.

However based on H1B rules, my visa 6 years get over by Nov 2011 (Nov 2005 +6 years) .
Adding up all the years , 2012 is beyond 6 years.( Got an extra 1 year beyond the 6 years)

So it means i got a year extension before my 6 years got over.

Is this possible/Right?

When does my visa expire 2011 or 2012?

Any suggestions would be appriciated.

You continue to stay and work until the I-94 date.
Having approved I-140 makes you eligible for extensions beyond 6 years.
