Hi,
I am currently in the US on H4. My H4 (and my wife's H1) is expiring this July and she'll be applying for both of our visa extension soon. I am also applying for H1 this month. If I get my H1 petition approved and if our extension is also approved, do I have to go out of country and stamping for COS? If so can I go before October or should it be only after the petition effective date?
We are really confused about our status now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
