Hi ,
Recently my current company is acquired by another US based company.
I have my original company's I-797 extension for 3 years ( after completion of 6 yrs) and need to visit India and have this restamped.
However not sure now what is the effect of this takeover.
Do I need to now transfer my I-797 extension to the new company.
Also my original co has processed my GC which is I-140 approved as of now. What happens to that? Does that start all over again as a new process and will I lose my original company's processing status altogether?
Has anyone been in this situation? Any experience share/expert comments are well appreciated.
