Appointment date @ Mumbai Consulate office
Hi,
I had booked an appointment for my wife and kid to get their H4 Visa stamped. The consulate site allotted 11th May 2005 as the Interim date. And asked to submit all the required documents 30 days before the appointment date. They issued a letter stating all this.
My wife submitted the documents yesterday at the documents collection centre (VFS). But to everyone's surprise they allocated 22nd June 2005 as the Interview date. When asked why was the 11th May 2005 date not issued they pointed their fingres to the Consulate office. They clearly said you better take this 22nd June 2005 date or leave.
I want to know if they had to issue some other date on submission of the documents why was it required to issue 11th May 2005 @ the time of booking the appointment over the Internet?
Please suggest some solution as soon as possible !!
