Can H1B Extension and transfer be done simultaneously

My H1 Extension is nearning and valid till Sep 2011 (1st 3 yrs), Now have got an offer from other company.
Can the other company file for my H1 extension and transfer simultaneously?

Yes. Transfer will come with an extension as per the work itinerary provided by the employer.
