Stamping before OCT

Hi,

I am currently in India. My Employer (USA) is filing H1 for me.
I am aware that I cannot travel before OCT but can I go for stamping before OCT? (Say I n Aug) and then can travel in OCT? Or is that I need to go for Stamping after OCT? then Travel?

Can someone clarify on the same?

Yes, you can apply for your visa anytime after your employer's petition is approved. You can travel up to 10 days before the petition start date.
