H1b Stamping - Urgent! Please Advice!!

Hello - I have to get my H1b visa stamped by the end of this year. I've had a jail sentence for 6 hours for driving with an invalid license about 3.5 years ago but all that is now settled and I've paid all dues/tickets/surcharges. I also have court's clearance letters with me.

Can you please suggest me if I go to Australia (Melbourne- relatives there) to get my visa stamped there, would that be a good idea? I heard a lot of people are getting 221g (pink slip) in India!! This is really concerning me and any help will be highly appreciated.

Unfortunately no one can predict if there will be any issues or not. They will anyhow have access to your records detailing the arrest and so you need to mention it in your DS-160. It totally depends on the VO. Since you have the court clearance and it is already 3.5 years now, hopefully you will get the visa stamped without any issues. But, no one can really predict.
