L1 To H1 COS Travel before approval

hi,
I am currently on L1-b extension with company A.
Company B is filing for my H1-B with COS now.


My Question:
If I travel out of US before the COS approval, my COS request will be void but
will my H1 B petition be still valid and can I come back on H1 once that is approved and I get a stamping done in India.

Just another query,
If I travel while COS in pending does the company filing my H1 b needs to do something legally for my H1 petition to be processed normally or not.
