H1B start date?

Hello,

I am an international student on my F1 visa. Currently I am working with an e-verified employer on OPT in my STEM extension period. If a non E-verfied company applies for my H1B visa and I get approved, would I be able to start to work for the non e-verified company before October 1st?

If the H1B is filed under a new CAP, then the effective date of the H1B petition will be on or after Oct 1st. You cannot work for the H1B sponsor before the petition become effective.
