H1 transfer to a smaller company

Hi,

I am working on H1b visa. I have got a job offer from a MNC, however they want me to join for 3 months as consultant and then they can offer me Full time. I have to restamp my H1 visa (as my petition was renewed recently and I got a new I 94, but visa has expired).

I wanted to know transfering H1 to a small company is a risk? Also transfering H1 to 2 companies in 3 months will it impact in anyway later?

>>> It doesn't matter whether it is a small company or a big one. As long as all the documents are in order, you are good. The problem is, if you are working for a consultancy company, then expect delays in getting the stamping done. There are lot of scrutiny these days when a candidate appears for the visa interview who works for a consultancy company.

Also transfering H1 to 2 companies in 3 months will it impact in anyway later?
