H1 B Visa stamping, Travelling to Uk

Hi

I am planning to go for my H1 stamping(first) to India in aug 2011. I came to US on L1 visa in AUg 2009 with Company A. I quit this company and got my H1B done through company B in Jan 2011. Now I have my new I94 with H1 B approved. However my passport has the L1 stamp whose validity is shown until 2013. I believe my company must have revoked this L1 as soon as i quit it. I am plnning to visit UK on the way to India in August. So planing to apply for tourist visa. Will I face issues on applying for my tourist visa regarding my status?can i travel to UK before H1 stamping?

I have a similar problem. I am currently in US. I have to travel to UK for work(UK Business Visa). I am yet to get my first H1b stamping. Would it be ok to travel to UK, and then to India to get my H1B stamped and then re-enter US? How did your trip go? Were there any issues?
