Going on Vacation to Bahamas from US with expired US VISA

I would really appreciate if you could reply to my questions if possible.
I live in US working on H1B Visa which is going to expire in Aug 2011.
I planned to go to bahamas in Nov 2011.
Do I need bahamas VISA to visit bahamas?
Do I need a valid US VISA when i come back? If so can I get the VISA from US embassy in Bahamas during my vacation?
Please give me your suggestions...

Yes.

I think you will need it. You can get from US embassy in Bahamas. Check CBP and US Embassy websites.
