Hello,
I came to the U.S. in 2001 on an F1, worked on an OPT and then changed to an H4 (which I am currently on). However, my H4 hasn't been stamped yet since I haven't gone to India since I was a student and on my F1.
Now however, I will be going back to school for a Ph.d starting this fall (2005). I request that somebody please advise me. I do plan on going to India to get my new F1 stamped. What are the possible problems that I might face? Anyone with recent experiences - what are the kind of questions they'd ask? What can I expect at the consulate? Are there any reasons they might reject my F1? Is it a better idea to get a new F1 from within the US and if so, what are the conditions and what differentiates it from getting an F1 in India.
I am very concerned and quite a bit in tension in everyday. I would really appreciate help from anybody. Every little bit of information will help. Immihelp's advice would be appreciated as well.
Thanks a lot.
