So here is my detailed story
I came to India in the first week of may ( on EVC) and went to Kolkata for stamping because it seems to be the safest. In my first interview VO gave me 221g and asked to submit all employer docs. I went to the consulate again on 25th May and submitted all docs, VO took the documents and interviewed me again ( Note: Only Kolkata consulate does another interview after 221g so your changes of a quick response are high). VO told me that my documents dont correctly represent employer/employee relationship and hence he is denying my Visa.
My Client asked another Vendor to apply for my visa so I could be in EC model. Vendor applied H1 under premium processing and I got the H1 approval in 4 days. Then I went again to Kolkata consulate ( since in most cases they take another interview if you get 221g) this time the interview was smooth,here is how it went
VO: Tell me what you do
Me: Told
VO: What is your highest qualification
Me: MBA
VO: For how long you are doing this?
Me : told. Mentioned that for the past 3 years I had been in US
VO: Are you gonna work at client site?
Me: YEs, told her that the SOW is part of the documents
VO: Your Visa is approved!
Next day ,I collected the passport in person from VFS office in Kolkata
