I-797 validity date issue
Hi All,
Last week I appear in h1b visa interview.
Initially, during interview everything was fine and VO was ready to issue visa until she realizes that there is mismatch in validity dates in petition on her screen and in the I-797 that I was carrying. My I-797 is still valid whereas VO said as shown in her screen – it has been expired already. VO consulted the case with three other members inside, then finally reverted saying we will issue visa after fixing this issue at their side and handed-over letter to me (White, A-4 size) stating – Your visa has been approved.
On 17th July, I receive an e-mail to submit DHS letter, LCA, Pet's federal tax returns for last 2 years, and End Client letters. These I will be submitting soon.
1. Is something like this happened to anybody else before?
2. I don’t have any case number to check the status, what can I do?
Any help to would be appreciated!
