H1-B Expired 7/31, Extension Applied, Can i apply for a Transfer?

Hi,

My H1-B petition Expired on 7/31, my current employer filed for Normal mode Extension and Receipt number was received on 7/28

Can i switch my employer, if yes is it a Transfer/New Petition?

Please let me know.

Yes, if you find a new employer, they can file the petition for you. Search for bridging and consult an experienced attorney.
