Visa Fees Payment in Advance.

Hi,

I am currently based in India. My Visa (h1) is in progress.I am expecting result in 15 days as it is Premium Processing.

To save time, I am planning to go to HDFC in this week and pay Visa fees in advance before I get approval. So that I don't waste time to get appointment. As per my understanding to pay visa fees in HDFC Petition / approval is not required. If there are any problem in Approval then I will loose that amount. I am ready to take that risk. Also I think HDFC receipt can be used within year or so.

Can someone please confirm if I can take this approach? Or anyone have done like this?

Yes. We can take the HDFC Receipt anytime we wish. It is independent of the H1 Petition, or appointment etc. It is applicable upto one year from the HDFC receipt issue date.

All that we loose is the visa fee amount i.e. 7500 INR.
