H1 transfer after I94 expiry.. H1 extension already filed

My I94 and visa expired on May 2011. I am still awaiting the result for my H1 extension filed in that same month. Its normal processing so it will take time.
In the meanwhile I have got another job offer. Can I do an H1 transfer even when I am awaiting result for H1b extension

You can, but not advisable. Search and read about the posts that talks about bridging. Your transfer will need to be based on the pending extension. If the extension gets denied, then so will the transfer as the bridge broke.
