L1 to H1 Transfer

Hi, I am currently on L1 Visa working with company A. My Assignment is getting over by 28th Aug. after which I will be asked to go back to India.
In meantime I have found a new employer who will be filing a H1 in couple of days from now (under old quota Using my old approved H1 petition... so I am good to start working immediately after H1 gets approved)
How can I manage the period between 28th Aug (Current project End Date) and date on which I will get H1 approved and start working with new employer.
(I am assuming that H1 will get approved in 2 weeks under premium processing which by 1st or in worst case 2nd week of Sept.)

As long as H1 petition is filed before the last day of work with L1 employer, you are allowed to stay in the US without working. But you must start working as soon as H1 gets approved with change of status.
