H1 Transfer on OPT

Hello Friends,

I got my H1 B approved last month. I am currently on OPT and H1 status will begin from October 1 this year. So if I change my employer now I will be on OPT but from October I have to transfer my H1 B. Will it have any affect on my status? Can I change my employer before Oct 1?

You can change your employer before Oct 1 if the work is in your field of study. The employer must file H1 immediately and receive approval notice before Oct 1. This can be achieved by filing in premium.
