H1B 22g administrative processing

Hi All,

I have attended H1B visa interview at Chennai consulate.

Counseler asked me only 3 questions.
1. What is you experience?
2. Who is your client?
3. What is your role?

Then she took 221(g) pink for for administrative processing and handed over all the documents and asked me to wait in the lobby. I was again called and i have given the docs.

One indian lady was sitting at that counter and asked some details like brother's name, sister's name and their age and where they stay etc.. They kept the passport with them and told i will receieve the passport after my visa is processed.

What does it mean? how much time it will take normally in this case? do i get visa? If i need my passport in the mid of the process what should i do?

Please guide me...
