I 94 Extension for Parents

Hi,

My parents have visited here for 6 mnths on tourist visa and I want to extend their trip to another 3 months due to family reasons.

How can I get their I 94 extended and what are the implications of getting their I 95 extended in future. I heared immigration dept does not give I 94 for 6 mnths in next visit after any extension.

Pl. clarify and advice.

Remember extensions are only granted for really genuine reasons only. If extension is denied after their I-94's expire, their Visas will be void and illegal stay will be counted from I-94 date.
Even if granted, they may need to spend more time abroad before they can return. As a rule of thumb visitors should spend two times their US stay outside before returning.
